I'd like to get people's take on this. If it's really this easy, I will attempt it myself. I was figuring I'd have to have a shop do it, because I am not that savvy with suspension work.
Thanks for your feedback!
The shop should not need to know. All they see is that it is out of tolerance, and then they put it back to tolerance.Motodeficient said:Have any of you guys had a shop refuse to align a vehicle because it has aftermarket suspension parts (I.E. leveling kit)?
Also, for some reason I generally distrust alignment places, I often wonder if they really know what they are doing. That said, should I mention to them the reason I want an alignment is because I put on a leveling kit? The only reason I say this is because I have a feeling they might just throw the truck on the machine and not do much and call it good. However If they know that it has a leveling kit just installed, they might look a little more closely because they would know something needs to be adjusted.
Awesome! What are you going to do for tires when the time comes?EKinMN said:Thanks to some very good friends here on the site, that pooled their resources to buy me a Christmas present, I now have a 2" Rough Country leveling kit!!! YEA ME!!!
Starspangled6.0 and I will be installing it on Sunday, and then I'll get it aligned on Monday. Stay tuned for pics.
For the record, the guys (and gals) on this site are AWESOME!!!
I got lifetime alignment for $161.99 at Tires Plus. I have it scheduled for Monday, following the leveling kit install on Sunday.Saturnboy_325 said:Can't wait tell i get mine in and I also went to firestone to get the lifetime alignment and it was on sale for $180
