Transfer Case Encoder Motor Keeps Going Inop

So I have a unique situation so it seems since I can not find it anywhere else. A while back i had a service 4wd light which is the case for many Chevy 4wd owners from the era of my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500. I replaced the interior switch, and cleaned the ground, it did not fix the issue. Next i changed the 4wd actuator in my front end still no fix. Then was the Encoder/Shift motor of which it fixed my issue. Not even a couple months later I was driving down the road and it was like my truck went into neutral and the service 4wd light came back on also the switch wouldn't allow moving between 2wd 4 hi and 4 low without shutting off the truck and holding the button while starting. I assumed it was just a faulty shift motor so i replaced it. It fixed the issue and I went on my merry way thinking it was all fixed and kosher. Well it wasn't and it happened again. I thought not two in a row so to confirm my theory I changed it again and it fixed it again but just like previously 2 months ish passes and into neutral I go. Bad encoder motor. Something is burning the motor out. I shot the wires to the motor all of which are within dealership specs so that is out.

My assumption is the transfer case fork is loose and moving freely and when that happens the encoder motor realizes its position is off and fixes the issues continuously after awhile of course the motor will burn up.

If anyone has seen this issue before i go into tearing into the transfer case or just replacing it i would like to know if anyone has seen this and has some advice.

Thank you in advance for anyone's experience or help.

So everyone knows they don't have to over explain mechanics I have been working on cars since I was 8 and have been a Jet Mechanic in the military for 10 years now. (this is just to save us both/all time)

..just fyi, this is a 4 year old thread, and the o.p. hasn't logged into the site since making the post. You won't get a response from that user.
