Hi I'm new to the forum, have questions about my Allisn Transmission
I have a 2007 Duramax/Allison Classic body style. I'm pulling a travel trailer 7500 lbs GVW. While travelling up a long grade here in Mexico a few days ago I got a loud growling noise from the tranny. The tranny temp. was between 95 to 100 C, (225 + F.). The noise started when engaged the tow/haul function. I turned it off and the noise stopped. Then after a while it came back, so I slowed down which took the noise away. I check fluid level soon after and it was fine. Any thoughts.
