My 2012 Silverado 5.3 engine is done for. I just did the AFM delete kit with an L96 VVT cam but it has other major issues on the bottom end, I bought a rebuilt 5.3 today that has an LQ4 non VVT cam. They are almost identical cams except the VVT. 196/201 duration .467/.479 lift.

Before I get the new engine installed I'm trying to figure out if I want to leave the cam alone or put the VVT cam in it. My question is, what real world difference does it make? Is it noticable? I've searched around but haven't found these answers.

Definitely not chasing power since it's just a stOck cam. I just wonder if anyone has noticed a difference with or without VVT.
