Trying to clean up the undercarriage and keep it pretty. I used this rubberized spray paint that dries out and turns greyish later on. What is a better choice? Not sure if actual black spray paint would look gawdy instead of a clean black look.
This is what I used......

rubberized undercoating holds water in and causes more problems than you realize.
Oil it down with fluid film.
You will have rust down south ,you wil get it in areas you never dreamed of due to moisture creeping into places that are innacessable to painting equiptment from the assembly line ,
I has a Mote Carlo that developed rust in the roof pillars because the factory sprayer cant paint in there. The salt air in florida rusted it from the inside out
Unless you are in the southwest desert , you can expect rust, at some poin, in some places, eventually

That I didn't know.
Absolutely, I agree with you

The frame plant dips the frame in a tank of daubert wax.
The wax is not on the items bolted to the frame.

Some bolt on chassis items are painted/coated and some are not coated at all

I’m up here in Michigan and they salt the hell out of the roads. Our country dirt roads are douched with calcium chloride during summer hours to knock the dust down, both eat away the undercoating on all vehicles by the 2nd winter.

My vehicles are all sprayed annually by my local Krown dealer for $150 per vehicle. The factory wax is still 💯% intact on all of them and the Krown oil helps keep it that way and keeps the body panels in factory condition. I know what works for me and this is definitely it
