I currently have a toolbox on my truck, but I want a tonneau cover. The simple solution would be to get a toolbox tonneau cover and call it a day... The only problem is that the tonneau cover would fit up against the latches that open the toolbox. So, I am looking at either getting rid of the toolbox and having a tonneau cover, or keeping the toolbox and not having a tonneau cover.

Is there any possibility that there would be enough give that I could still open the latches with the tonneau cover against it?

Has anybody had this issue? If so, how did you deal with it.

I guess you could find another tool box that would work better with a cover but I will assume that isn't an acceptable solution. I don't know anything about a tool box and cover combo, but if I had to choose one over the other, I would go with the cover. I have Undercover Swing Boxes and don't need a huge amount of storage so that works for me.

My attempt at a tool box and tonneau cover was huge failure, tried a mid - lid tool box and Trifecta tonneau cover and the fit was so bad I sold the tool box and never used the cover. ( If anybody wants the cover, which is for tool box with an 8 foot bed come and get it!) I settled on a regular tonneau cover and 2 UnderCover Swing Cases.
