1990 Chevy Silverado swb 4x4 350sb
My truck is whining really loud when in park sounds like a dang supercharger does it when in drive also gets a little quieter but not much what could be the issue its coming from the Trans don't know exactly where on the Trans any ideas truck runs and drives great shifts fine no issues other than the whining

Sounds like pump cavitation. Check the transmission fluid level as well as the power steering level.

If it whines in park I would check the power steering pump
