Wind bent something on door

The wind caught my passenger door today. The door did not properly seal the rest of the trip and there was a suction that hurt our ears. From what I can tell the only part that does not look right is the black part. I've tried looking it up but I'm not sure what the part is. Anyone know? Anyone else have the wind do this to a door?

I cannot comprehend the pic you posted. But I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed.
What I can say about doors being over extended due to wind can cause the A-Pillar to buckle some.
Look very close to where the door attaches to the A-Pillar for any wrinkles or other damage.
If nothing is visible to you, you can bring it to a body shop and let them look and tell you what they think.
They won't charge you for their opinion.
Or you can adjust the catch to make the door close more tightly but it will require slamming the door and isn't the proper way to fix the problem.
JMHO,
Rick

Man had that happen to my Tahoe...
On the passenger door...
It cause the hinge to get messed up .
Couple of body shops tried to fix it ...
Did get better , but still had the wind noise

Like stated b4 have a body shop look at it.

I had it fixed though my INS ...

Damage could be inside the door, where that hinge arm attaches to the door bracket(?). It may have been over extended / pulled out, or very slightly bent/misaligned. Try opening the door to normal max and then give a gentle shove and see if you can feel some "extra" movement or see some reaction on either of the attachment brackets.
