After reading A LOT of post about which harness to get nothing really was clear to me about the best thing to do. So this is my plan and I would like feedback if this would work right or not, or the best option that I might have missed.
Ok, i bought a pioneer avh-x4500bt HU, I have onstar but not currently activated and don't really plan on it, and I have steering wheel controls. No Bose, no amplifier, no stock Bluetooth or camera. So all I want to do it have my steering wheel controls work and keep all chimes and dings.

So I'm thinking this for SWC:

Does this make since to do and will this work? Decent reviews on the SWC by metra and not much on the PAC c2r. What have y'all done? I've been rattling my brain about all this I just want to install it but I want it to work right. Any answers/suggestions will help. Thanks guys!

Even though our trucks are a little different, I just finished installation of a Pioneer X5500BHS double din head unit over the weekend. I will eventually get enough time and make a thread on the install.
Here is what I bought from Crutchfield. Everything works as advertised and was very easy to install. I am especially stoked with my back-up camera! You may want to look at Crutchfield. They have awesome customer service.

I'd say the rp5-gm31 I just bought for my 11 crewcab haven't installed it yet but very nice piece and preprogrammed.
