This is a run of the mill receiver hitch and a ball mount.

This all started when I researched hitches and receivers online, and then checked to see if I had the harness needed for the lighting already installed on the truck. That is when I discovered the receiver that appeared to be factory installed. I am not oblivious to doing a search for what I want...it's when I can't figure out what I have already that I need to satisfy my curiosity by asking people that would know more than I would. This is where the forum comes in. Thanks for the heads up, though.

Does the hole in the bumper for the trailer ball align with the hole in the hitch?

Yes it does. The plastic cover on the bumper has what appears to be a knock-out that lines right up with it.
