Clutch master cylinder woes continued!

2002 Sierra clutch master cylinder

It's been a few years and clutch master cylinder woes on 2002 Sierra 1500 continue. Truck sits for long periods of time-2002 with only 82k miles. Crappy plastic mounting flange on pedal assembly broke AGAIN! meaning replace entire plastic pedal assy AGAIN!!
. Latest issue; replacement clutch master cylinder, (3rd? 4th?, lost count), wants to rotate on mounting with use, pops off flange leaving you with no means to operate clutch. Can be VERY scary in traffic!! Managed to twist back into place, (happened 4 times!) and limp home.
Determined to fix this, removed brake booster, (what a HUGE PIA!!!) and clutch master cylinder . Crappy plastic squarish mounting that "locks" into crappy plastic mounting flange on crappy plastic clutch pedal assembly is placed on end of clutch master cyl. and "secured" with snap ring. But there is nothing to stop this from rotating on crappy plastic end of master cylinder!! So, master can twist itself into position to pop off, AND "squarish" mounting can also twist into position to let master pop off!!! Yankee engineering at its best!!
I have spent countless hours researching this horrible dsign, looking for a better system upgrade, talking to Mcloed, Willwood, etc, etc and found nothing.
Managed to limp home from trip to HoDePot for plywood after popped off twice, (and then wouldn't start to allow trip home in 1st gear since clutch switch disabled!!).
Tomorrow will mean crawling under dash, (with injured right shoulder!) to glue? make mounting bracket? bracket to prevent twist? drill holes to bolt into position?

Fogot to mention; snap ring that "secures" squarish mounting on master cylinder body WILL allow position to be "clocked" to aid clearance problems with brake booster.
No room in garage, this will be a driveway project and forecast is rain/sleet high 35 deg. Fun!! love the GMC experience!!
