Gearing, a couple of questions.

Gearing, a couple of questions.

Postby madmann26 [OP] » Jun 26 2013, 7:11pm

I have pretty much decided on the 4.10/4.11 route to get rid of my doggy 3.23's. My truck also has the G80 locker.

My questions is, do I need to get a ring/pinion that is compatible with ABS? I've seen this mentioned a few times when looking at gearing and would like a definitive answer before I purchase the wrong thing.

Thanks in advance,

No need to worry about the ABS. Is your truck 4wd?

Negative.

Thanks. I did some research and was able to conclude that it didn't apply to me. 4.11's with a master bearing kit OTW! :)

Thanks again for the confirmation.

Nice choice with the 4.11's. I went from factory 3.08's to the 4.11's and I couldn't be happier.

After having a sports car a couple of years ago and throwing 4.10's in that, I can only imagine what it will be like in the truck. The gears got shipped yesterday, my re-tune from NP will ship today and my new servo came in the mail yesterday.

I can't wait. :)
