Tow/Haul switch not workin

Trans

Postby ussedson946 [OP] » Dec 03 2019, 6:02pm

Last week I filled my truck with loam and pressed the Tow Haul switch on gear shift. Nothing posted on dash indicating it was engaged and it was obvious the transmission did not change, there was approx. 900lbs of loam in truck bed...any ideas.

What year truck? The gmt800 trucks were common for the wire for the switch to break in the steering column

So is the wires needed to repair the switch below the steering column or in the steering column. Do I need to pull the airbag off to get to wires??

You can likely fix them by pulling the covers off. I soldered mine back together and used heat shrink tubing.
