Transmission kick down problem?

Transmission kick down problem?

Postby kennyz [OP] » Nov 10 2019, 12:08am

2000 Silverado stepside with 5.3L . Transmission seems to operate normally most of the time. However, the passing gear doesn`t seem to be quite right. If I`m on a long entrance ramp accelerating in OD and push down the pedal for it to downshift for a little more power it just continues in OD unless I really mash the pedal down. Is there an adjustment or is this internally or electrically controlled?
