Will this rear end fit my Silverado?

Will this rear end fit my Silverado?

Postby Brantm21 [OP] » Jul 27 2020, 11:27pm

I have a 1999 Silverado 5.3l LT Z71 with a GT4 rear end. Mine is trashed.

I found a 2002 Silverado 5.3l LT Z71 with a GT4 rear end but it is also a G80 (Limited Slip).

Will this rear end directly swap?

He’s only asking a $100.

Yes it will bolt right in no problem. Just be cautious of the G80. It is a locking diff, that isn't known to be the strongest. Especially in the old 10 bolts.

I would pop the cover and inspect it first to make sure your not putting in another wrecked diff.

19trax95 thanks bud. I think I’m going to do this instead of replacing my spider gears (another post you helped me with).

I’m going to go pick it up.
