K&N CAI vs Volant

Postby booner [OP] » Jul 29 2012, 4:06am

Not entirely sure this is the forum I want for this, but it is time for a CAI for the Sierra. Been looking at a K&N,m but also looking at a Volant. Is one better than the other? Does it just come down to personal choice? Any advice or help in this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks....

They all basically do the same thing. They don't really add an real power, but they do make a nice sound and help with throttle response.

The real restriction in these trucks is the intake tube. The stock box itself is ample enough for providing cool air and enough of it to the truck.

In the link I'm posting the results say basically that the Volant and the Airaid JR kit provide similar results with the others not too much behind them. So in that aspect, its basically about cosmetics - which do you like the look of more, and is it worth the money to you?

If you go with K&N, Buy spectre instead, same exact thing but $200 bucks cheaper. I was gonna go with Volant, but cant justify the cost.
