Put my old mirrors on to start the build on my tow mirrors. The caps are just plastidipped white. Looks good from a far, the old 20/20 lol. Looks good from 20 feet away at 20mph.

Never haha. I already miss the tow mirrors. Visibility is so poor on the small mirrors compared to the tow mirrors.

Got the mirrors torn down. I'm ready to start sanding them smooth. I forgot my small sander at work so I'll start that process tomorrow. Still need to call the body shop and have them mix me up some paint.

Been slowly chipping away at the mirrors. Primer went on the smaller parts today. Letting it cure then will sand smooth.

Also knocked out the lights. Got the lenses changed and the switch backs installed. Wiring will need to wait until paint is done and I can assemble the mirrors again. Image

Going to be getting the paint for the mirrors tomorrow hopefully.

The primer sanded down real nice and smooth. I hit it with some 600 grit and may do a pass with 800 before paint.

Still need to sand and prime the base and the main mirror body though. I'll probably knock that out tomorrow after work, then lay paint Tuesday night. I'll setup a makeshift booth in my garage.

I also need to pickup another can of 2k clear. I only have one can and I want to make darn sure I have enough on hand once i start Haha.

Then throw it all back together and wire the lights and I'm all set.
