Debating the whole lift scenario. I'm seriously considering the BDS 2-3" coilover kit and a diff drop.

It's between that, or the CST 4".

Downside of the BDS kit is that I can't use my new control arms I bought. I would definitely prefer to keep them, but that isn't a deciding factor entirely since I'm sure I can sell them.

Cost wise, the BDS kit is more than the CST by quite a lot. But you get the coilovers obviously so that's a lot of the cost there.

Can you get coilovers for the CST later?

I don't believe so. I haven't found any coilover lifts in the 4" range. All are either level height, ot 6" and up. I really don't even want anything over 4" at all. And even at that, it's getting turned down to about the height I'm at now.

Now, I could go full custom and get a cst lift and then do a coilpver conversion with custom coilovers. But thats money I really don't want to spend haha.

Seems like the 4.5“ Coilover is only for 01-10 Models available.

The 2-3“ Coilover System would be my choice.. its‘ pricey but coilovers FTW![emoji23]

Seems like height wise you want to be in the range of the BDS so I would have a hard time wanting to get a 4" and turn it down then still not get coilovers.

And if the BDS is mid price of those three options
- CST
- BDS
- Full Custom

Then BDS with coilovers for the win.

If I could get either a true 3" or 4" lift with coilovers, id be all over it.

The BDS comes set to 2.5", on a diesel truck according to their info. So that's a little higher than I'm at now. If I kept it there or turned them down a little, and did a diff drop, my CV angles wouldn't be too bad. My tie rod angles wouldn't be ideal, but also not horrible.

My other thought, is seeing what the cost of a set of custom coilovers would cost, for say the height of a 3 or 4" lift, and then add them to a 4" lift. Only issue with that, besides the likely high cost, is the control arms and mounting for the coilovers.

I haven't seemed to find a coilover conversion kit for the 11-19 trucks besides the BDS

I bet it wouldn't cost as much as you think for a custom set. People get them all the time for the rock crawling and offroad buggies and what not. I bet for around 1600 and you could have a set custom made. I saw one guy complaining because the custom ones were 800 each for 14" coilovers

That CST 4-6 claims stock torsion bar location for a true high clearance 4" kit without compromising ride quality but its like $2500

Just for the heck of it, installed my air horn this morning. It's pretty darn loud for its size. I wish it was a deeper tone, but for a small horn and 1/4" line, its pretty decent. Probably never use it, but it was taking up space so... lol.
