Wanted to document the build process on this truck. Not going to go wild with it, but a few customizations along the way.

Bought the truck on Thursday with the Ranch Hand bumper and flat bed already on it. Also had the wheels on it. Not wild about the bed or the wheels, but maybe they'll grow on me.

Installed my light bar on it Friday. Definitely added a little bit of style, along with a whole lot of light.

So far, I've ordered tow mirrors, 6.5" LED's for the fog lights, and a 22" light bar for the middle of the bumper. I'm thinking I'll run the fogs and middle bar on a relay to the low beams, but I'll have to see where the middle bar sits before I do that to make sure it's not going to blind people.

Well, 2 of the 3 pieces arrived today that were supposed to. Mirrors aren't going to be here until tomorrow. Now to figure out where to put these exactly. I'm kind of thinking of putting the two 6.5's on the headache rack and using them for backing up... Then getting another pair to put in the fog holes.

Now I can see behind me. I can't believe they'd send this truck out of the factory with those wimpy little mirrors on it.

Nothing wild. Just something you don't see every day. Maybe a mild lift down the road. Some nicer wheels and a set of tires with some meat to them. Possibly a winch on the front. Delete all the emissions crap once it's out of warranty next year. I will get pics tomorrow but I mounted the two 6" light bars on my headache rack and the 22" on my front bumper this evening. I need to go pick up some relays tomorrow and finish wiring them. hot wired them to test them out and they're going to be great. I think I'm going to use the reverse lights as a trigger for the ones on the headache rack. I can't decide whether I want to have the headlights trigger the bar on the front (my intentions are to use it as a fog light), or use a switch so I can decide when it's on. I guess I'll figure that part out tomorrow.

You could wire in off/on/off switch for the aux reverse lights, then you can have them come on when in reverse or trigger them manually when you want.
I wire my back up beepers on a on/off so I don't wake people when leaving for work early in the AM.
