Afgixxer’s 2018 Silverado Stormtrooper Build

Postby Afgixxer [OP] » Jun 28 2018, 5:03am

Here is a dedicated to all the build of the truck. It might not be done fast and others but it will be quality parts and thought out.

Sold my 2010 BMW 335i and bought my first truck ever back in March. I am loving it!

Part of the deal was the black out kit so on that went!

That weekend I put tint on it!

Afgixxer’s 2018 Silverado Stormtrooper Build

Postby Afgixxer [OP] » Jun 29 2018, 12:20pm

After three months of research and indecisiveness, I finally bought the wheels/tires and lift for my 2018 Silverado. Thanks to the help from Profbrown and Ferraiolo1 for the feedback and advice. Really appreciate it guys!

I wanted to go with only quality parts so I went with the CST 3.5” lift spindle kit.

Ride comfort was important as well as looking good, so I chose the Fox 2.5 coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0 shocks in the rear.
Image

Next was wheels and tires. I decided on the 20x9 Fuel Vandals which was just released. I have them wrapped in 295/55 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
Image

I am very happy with how it turned out and the ride quality. Image

Good looking truck. I put a 4.5” lift on my 2015 GMC and saved up to go with CST. It is a very nice and well built kit.

Turned out awesome man. Your research paid off. Get some acf50 to spray on the coil overs to keep them from corroding in the winter if you live where it snows.

Amazing how a lift kit and some tires and wheels can brighten your day isn't it!? Looks great. You know I see all these silverados and frankly most other trucks sitting on the lot and most of them are just plain boring. Dump another few grand into them and they transform into something like you have now. Amazing! I would have gave mine a second look at a dealership. LT chrome no lift stock wheels and tires. Bleh! Anyways. Nicely done....for now. haha you'll find more to do but you got the biggies out of the way!

Great looking ride. I agree with THKBaron. Amazing what another $3k can do for the looks of a popular LT Silverado.

May I suggest tossing some wheel well liners in the back...........cleans it up a bit and prevents rock chips.

That did turn out awesome, no more plain Jane look :D Agreed on the wheel well liners to clean it up a bit, those white wheel wells stand out quite a bit.
