Afgixxer’s 2018 Silverado Z71 Stormtrooper Build

Postby Afgixxer [OP] » Dec 16 2018, 5:53pm

Well, time to start over. On Black Friday I traded in my 2018 Custom for this 2018 LT Z71 with the Allstar package. Deal was too good to pass up.

Starting out I’m looking to get an underseat storage and floor liners. Sitting between husky or the GM. Trying to see if this will fit on the 2018’s. Looks like GM upgraded the accessories for the new model and they look good.

Good looking truck!

I’ve got the gm mats and love em.
Wife has weather tech...they are good but doesn’t have same fit IMO.

Yeah I’m most likely getting the carven. Sounds great.

Does anyone know if those 2019 floor mats and storage would fit or is it completely different? I talked to the Chevy chat “specialist” and got well this says they are for the 2019, you need to make sure you choose the 2018 year to see the correct accessories.

Yeah they are different. You would need 2014-18 parts

Had the GM floor mats on the last build but went with husky this time around.

Only complaint is I wish I could trim it off the door sill without messing it up. Image

First impression** I had the full hump liner on the GM and these are clearly the individual ones so I can only compare those. After having them for a few days, it feels my feet don’t slide around as much as the GM ones. The GM was more of a hard plastic and these are like mailable rubber. Very high quality. The GM were also more of a dull black and these have a bit of gloss to them. I am very happy with them.

Also picked up the Husky underseat storage.

I debated on this and the duha but ultimately felt this looked more factory and finished.
