When I purchased the truck 8/10/2013
$5,000

When I purchased the truck the key fob didn't work and the seller said the battery needed replacing. When I came home I pulled the battery out to find that the part that holds the battery in was actually broke. After seeing a $90 price tag for a new one at my local AutoZone I figured I may as well try and fix it....and that's exactly what I did...

Took about 15 minutes and as you can see there are 3 different points that needs solder. Easy fix and kept $90 in my pocket! $0

Next up was the grille, I plan on getting a billet style or speed Grille in the future but like I stated I am trying to see how far I can stretch the dollar. Went down to my local hardware store and picked up my first can of PlastiDip, yep I entered into manhood

First was prep and as everyone knows this is the most important step.

Then took about 8-10 light coats, about 3/4 of the can $6.00

And Finished product!!

Before and After.....

Should be a fun project and can't wait to see where this project takes me, balance $1,994.00
