Daly's 2017 High Country

Postby Daly [OP] » Jul 29 2017, 5:05pm

I would've kept my 2000 Z71 if I hadn't have got a killer deal on this.

Not 5 minutes in the driveway and the cheap 4x4 stickers were gone...

I'm undecided about de-badging the rest of the truck, it is a High Country and I think the badges should stay, but I might move them. Or at least de-badge the tailgate.

Plans are to leave it mostly alone, might do a set of rims and eventually A/T tires, but in stock sizes. Not planning to level, but that could always change. I'd like to find a set of OEM 22's.

Interior is standard High Country black leather, sunroof, sliding rear window, and all the other goodies. It's the 5.3 with the 8 speed. I bough this to DD and tow, so the mods will be based on those needs. Maybe air bags in the back, a tune when the warranty is up, nothing major...

Might fine looking truck you got there. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I agree about the debadging of the High Country. I don't think removing them is the answer since it is a special edition truck, but maybe some refinishing of them might be a cool idea as long as it's done with some class.

I've thought about putting them up on the fender, where the 4x4 and Z71 badges are on the GMC's. But they might be to big to pull that off.
