LCAs out!
Heated the LCA and punched them out. Worked pretty good and was way quicker than I thought.

Buddy was here and started with his art. Will be done tuesday[emoji16]

Some more work done on the Truck.

Removed the Steering Linkage with Idler Arm.
Pitman Arm was stuck on the Gearbox so I removed the Gearbox.
No chance even with a Puller.. I had to cut a lot of metal and then hammer the rest of the Pitman Arm off.

Bad thing is, the previous owner replaced the steering arm in the past and cut deep into the Gearbox shaft. Not sure what to do now..
I‘ve seen the Cardone Reman Gearbox but bot sure about the quality. My original one is good beside the shaft and shaft seal..

Also removed more of the Wax Coating on the frame to prep the front frame section for painting it.

Got the Axle, Rear Bumper and Hitch back from Sandblasting and will prep for paint tomorrow.

And while my buddy finished the graffiti I decided to finally paint the grill.

All the time I had the Truck the faded Emblem and chrome was bugging me.
The Honeycomb Grill Insert is grey, which wasn‘t my favourite too.

Today I decided to spray everything with Herculiner so it matches my black Front Bumper and has a nice texture to it.
I think it came out good for just a quick fix.

More parts came in..
New Mevotech T***n Hubs are in. Love the blue bolts, fits the truck.

New parking brake cables, new rear axle bearings and seals, new front dust shields, new torsionbar mounts.
Next few days I should get the LCAs back and the axle should be painted soon.

Also I ordered Axle Dust Caps, a new horn and an Overhaul set for the steering box.
Should be a whole new front suspension/steering in a few weeks

I had to do a double take at the bolts, I thought they had some sort of blue covers on it.

I ordered parts over parts.. can‘t install old dustshields on a new knuckle.. can‘t install old rusty hubs on new shiny knuckles and a painted frame.
Adds up quick lol

Just noticed the name of the hubs is censored because relations to a japanese pickup make lol

And yes they are actually blue in color.. not sure how long that will last. The mounting bolts to the knuckle are also blue[emoji16]

Looks like maybe a Zylan coating. Never seen that on hubs before. It does suit your truck color!

Its a strange coating just from the feel. Not sire what it is, the instructions don‘t state anything on that.

Today I removed the front differential and the crossmember. Also ordered some more parts lol

I misspelled that. Should be Xylan. Basically PTFE.

Colorwise it looks pretty identical.
Maybe I can figure it out what it is and if it really helps something
