Today I found the set of wheels I always dreamed of! Special GM Order for the few NBS CUCVIII.. never found them in about a year I was searching. Now they popped up in north germany!
But to be honest, I want 17s or 18s for this truck and I don‘t have this kind of money for a set of 16s. Not looking to spend more than 1000€ on wheels so this will be nothing for me unfortunatley..

Rats....I know you like that style. 16" does seem a bit small....would they clear the calipers and drums? Very pricey too.

Yes they would clear.. Truck came with 16s from factory but currently has 17s from a Sierra 2500HD on it.
I really like them but 16“ is too small with a 33 or 35 tire.. beefier look but too much tire weight for my liking and I don‘t want to pay him that price..

Waiting on Chevrolado‘s Picture with the Method Grids mounted.. probably going that direction..

So this will be my 13000 lbs winch.
Came with the mail today and I‘m pretty happy with it!
The aluminum rope window will be powder coated or anodized in a light blue.
Not sure if I‘m going with a color matched powder coat or the typical anodized look.. we‘ll see!

Just got a Mail via Ebay from Parts Powerhouse.

The Flange Kit for my Winchbumper will be delayed 4 weeks due to not having them in stock. Well.. check your stock before selling something on ebay..
Whilst the Flange Kit will take its time, the bumper itself should show up here in about 30 days. Its currently on its way over the pond and if this works I´ll be ordering alot more with this shipping agency.

Mirrors are on their way and the LED Lights should show up soon too. I´m probably buying a Longhorn Fabshop Switch Panel and the Fleece all light kit soon.

Planning on checking the truck this week but we will see how this works out... Otherwise I´ll look into getting the correct 3M Vinyl till the weekend and start wrapping the grille

Just a quick update on the current situation.

I need to switch vehicles now because an insurance time frame. Therefor I need to get a registration ASAP.
Drove the Truck to Smitty to get the Balance Rates checked. We will do a 21 inspection which means a complete import overhaul inspection with paperwork. After this is done you can register your car legally and I don‘t need to borrow dealer tags anymore..

For the 21 inspection I will need a few things.. the left tie rod end is shot and I‘ll replace that. Windshield needs replacement and then we will see what else comes up. Possibly some sort of brake work since they are pretty soft..

Additional I‘m doing a complete fluid swap as always when buying a new vehicle.

The rusty cab corner will pass the inspection and will be replaced afterwards. No time for that at the moment. Same for other cosmetic issues like dents or scratches.

Because this isn‘t enough I bought some fun stuff for the truck..

Fleece All Lights Module is ordered and hopefully it will give me some light improvement.

The 9“ Led lights came in. I tested them with the Flood Lense. Hoooooly!!! Light output is awesome! I didn‘t get a pic because the dog was a bit scared so I just did a quick test.
Will provide pics when they are mounted.

Image

Second I bought the best fitting wrap I have found for a reasonable price. Its a light color difference but won‘t be noticable from a feet away.
Its the oracal 951 Midnight Blue 189. Should already be here but oh well..

Looked around for fun things and found a rollpan with fairly cheap shipping to german.
Same seller had one for the C10 too so I bought one for each truck

Image

Then I came across a sub enclosure for a double 10 setup. Still wanting to do the 4x 8“ but decided to do that to the NNBS. Don‘t want to loose the space in the extended cab.
Shipping was cheap too so I jumped on it. I got an amp but no subs so far. Will be on the look out and probably buy Gladen or Audiosystem.

Visited the local classic car exhibition and found the original Sales booklet including the CD.
Condition is brand new. Never opened till I bought it.

Nice! I did the same thing. Bought a sales manual for my 2010 Sierra on Ebay. Just kind of neat to have.

Truck was at the TÜV Station yesterday to check what is needed for registration.

Just need to do minor things now... they want a straight exhaust pipe instead of the angled exit and the cab lights can´t be functional. I´ll pull the bulbs and put them in afterwards.. for the exhaust I have different plans after registration so I´ll see what is the end result.

Need a new windshield too. Ordered one and ripped out the old one today.. I should buy rust free trucks in the future..

I will clean that up tomorrow and then prepare everything for the new windshield. I think the truck will be registered in one or two weeks.. whenever the new windshield arrives.
