FAST4DR 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali

Postby FAST4DR [OP] » Oct 01 2018, 12:36am

All the items that bothered me in Version 1 was corrected in Version 2. Have only driven her from the dealer to my office garage, so I have much to read up and learn. The new truck is way more advanced with all its integrated technology from last Gen.

2019 does have a much for beefier stance then previous Gen, and you feel higher on the road in the new truck.

More pics!! Interested in your feedback on the 10 speed trans.

Looks like you get the honor of having the first 19 build thread. What are you plans? I presume it will take a while for the vendors to make accessories to fit the new ones.

Already ordered the upgraded rubber floor mats for the front and rear. New model already has the cargo management under the rear seat built into the car. First item once CORSA has an exhaust is to replace the stock version like I did on the 2017. Stock exhaust on the new truck seems quieter then my 2017 stock if you can imagine that.

Also ordered the interior safe/gun lock box that fits nicely into the center console. Since they redesigned the lower front area to be functional in storing items and the wireless charger actually works on my iPhone X.

First impressions from my test drive is the truck gets up and goes instantly. The fact you also have mode settings, allows you to set it to sport which alters your shift points and engine rpms.
It surprised me how effortlessly the truck gets up and goes, one would think its making much more HP/TQ then my 2017. Looking forward to playing around with it much more and seeing the benefits when towing my 24" enclosed trailer.

Also, if you thought the magnetic ride in the previous generation made the ride feel wonderful you will love the next generation in this truck. It feels like your in a sedan.

I wonder how long before range comes out with a update. When the engine drops to 1cyl that corsa won’t sound so nice!

But I believe the power numbers are the same from the previous version, but I’m sure that drive mode change helps the shifts a lot more.

New truck has the fuel saving garbage that shuts truck off when stopped. Thank God you can disable it, but the default mode is always On at start up.

Hey Guys,

Few quick pics of front as requested and inside from driver perspective. She has been parked all weekend at the airport, and I picked her up today. Sorry for the extra bird dropping on the car, but hopefully it will be good look :D

Anybody in the DMV who wants to take her for a spin just PM me.

The 2019 really is "filled out" more than previous years, not fat just big boned. My grandpa recently bought a 2018 and I have yet to inspect it real close.

DMV, is that Delaware/Maryland/Virginia?

The truck looks physically smaller. Do you find it that way at all? Interior or exterior?

Actually it must be the pictures. Both interior cab (more room in back area) and bed is bigger then previous Gen.
