green68mustang_2002’s 2015 High Country Duramax

Postby green68mustang_2002 [OP] » Jul 20 2019, 8:43am

Well, i did a thing last weekend. I had my eye on a couple of lml’s. I have been missing my 13 duramax ever since i traded it in. I went and drove a red Sierra SLT at my hometown dealer and i didnt fall in love, so the search was still on. Next one i found was about an hour and a half away, it was a 16 white high country. Drove to look at it and the dealer was playing games on my trade in, so that one got left. At this point i was ready to hold off and wait until i could go a few states over and look at a new one. Well i got home that night and i found one at a dealership i had already talked to. Had to go to that city anyways because we were having our baby shower their the next day. So we loaded up early and went and drove the 15 high country. All the numbers worked out so i was driving a new to me duramax after the shower was done. I held onto my efi live autocal from my 13 duramax, and i have been in contact with my previous tuner about updating my tunes and getting them sent back to me. I have my dpf delete exhaust in shipment and now just wait. Will run the tuner and exhaust and get the gauges done in a couple of weeks. The actual deletes will be done at the end of the year or beginning of next. The biggest to do on this truck will be the deletes. Windows were limo tinted on Thursday. When these tires wear down ill put tome AT’s on and the steps are going to be changed to AMP steps.

I have been looking almost weekly at deals and really thinking about trying to find an LML to jump in.

That looks sweet, now I got to go look again thanks a lot! Lol

Congrats!
Definitley in for this one!

Did you keep anything from the previous truck? E.g. the Subbox or did you trade it in like it was?

Sharp truck!

Thanks guys! It is a super nice truck that was very well taken care of!! The lml is a stout rig and this has more than enough power than i will ever need. I could’ve got by with a gasoline engine but man i just love a duramax, especially with the tuner and 5” straight pipe! I kept the subs, box and amp but they will probably get sold. This truck has the storage bin under the rear sear and i am going to lift the rear seat soni can keep all my tools inside and get rid of the big toolbox. I have the two swingcase boxes that i keep the stuff i use the most. Ill have the new license for the autocal this week and hopefully the exhaust gets here too so i can go ahead and disable this junk def.

Love that color. I really liked your black truck, I’m sure you’ll make this one look just as good!

Thanks! I did too, I really hated to see it go. I could just never get over selling my silver duramax.

Truck has level spacers and looks like the keys are cranked some. Looks good but rides like absolute dog stuff. Spacers are coming off, keys are going back to stock level, and will be getting a set of mcgaughy adjustable drop shackles to level out the rear. These trucks are rough to begin with but once the level and/or keys get cranked, it is unbearable.

Love that colour. Some blacked out stuff on that truck would look cool... and your dropping not lifting? Just a question. I just thought your Sierra got lifted figured this one would too!
