It has been a while Joe! Glad you got that fixed up. I have some weepers...but will probably end up doing them when it is 1000° out....just seems to go that way...haha.

Subscribed. Interested to see what you do to yours. I've been doing little things to mine in the 2 1/2 years that I've had it.

In almost a year I have done nothing but an oil change and a "new" used set of tires.
Image
Been driving fairly regularly, took a hunting trip up north late last fall. A buddy drove with his truck/camper/trailer combo, it was so smooth and quiet.

I am seriously considering a LBZ/LMM trade for added payload in terms of getting a camper since the wife and I have been talking more seriously about going camping as a family.

Good to see it is still running Joe. That is quite the trailer train of your buddies. Forward only! ha

Well, with some practice you can backup a rig such as this, but yes, typically we drop the trailer with the ranger and park the camper, then hook up to the trailer with the ranger and go hunting.

Re: JB Long's 2004 Silverado

So, I'm finally rebuilding my front end, and I want to do a torsion bar delete and coilover conversion in the process (yes I'm aware of this undertaking, but I'm committed to this truck as a daily driver after this work is all done). I plan on going with Atomic, but haven't settled on a shock/spring combo yet and I'm open to suggestions.

Back to the front end rebuild. So my truck now has 246,343 miles on it. So I'm looking at wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints, all bushings, inner and outer tie rod ends. Am I missing anything here? I could look at steering components as well, as I said earlier this is going to be a daily driver once all the work is completed. I do plan on having an alignment after all parts are replaced.

Neal, thanks for chiming in, I can always count on your for a reply.

I will be doing brakes as well, with Power Stop pads and NAPA profpomer rotors.

(*No parts have been ordered yet, I am shopping around.)

Atomic can recommend a shock/spring combo, at least give some advice on it. His customer support is very good from what I have read.
