Nice looking truck, I really like the steps. I have a 2017 midnight edition. Love it. Keep up with all the pictures

I would imagine that’s because he’s incorporating a winch which needs to be tied into your frame rails for any decent size winch. But the brush guard itself looks pretty substantial also so I wouldn’t be surprised if that is tied into the frame horns as well or ties into the tow hook location.

JQCitizen’s 2018 Silverado LTZ Z71 build

Postby JQCitizen [OP] » Jan 10 2019, 5:45am

Well, this think has kicked my butt today! Apparently the passenger frame rail is a bit different then the drivers, needed to grind a few flanges on the winch mount arms.

Winch tray and guard frame are in place. Darn winch battery cables are too short! Gotta go pickup longer tomorrow morning so I can finish putting the truck back together.

Ended up pulling all the plastic off of the bumper and relocating the parking sensors to the grill guard. I can’t believe how much clearance is lost by plastic!!

Just don’t hit anything with it or it will cause even more damage to your truck. Needs a lift now!

Hopefully I won’t hit anything. Your right. This would cause some serious damage

Looks really good. I've seen several grill guards/push bars that look terrible on these trucks but this one looks like it belongs on there. Nice.
