Yes sir. I'm going to regear first though. At $600 a pop for a dyno tune going to wait a while and enjoy the motor how it is. I'm tired of spending money lol

I bet you are, the 4.56s will be pretty snappy, how did you decide that's what you want to run? I am running 4.56s with 34s right now with only a tune. Since I have ran stock 3.42s, 4.11s and now 4.56s, I personally think I should have stuck with the 4.11s they were plenty gear for my setup.

If you are mechanically inclined regearing isn't a hard thing to do and would make for some good youtube content possibly, just requires a few special tools and a press. I did a write up on here when I regeared mine in my garage.

Nice! I'll check it out. Long story short I try to regear everything. It's all about the gearing for me. I've done a 5.13 swaps in a couple mudtrucks I've had. I don't drive past 65-70mph hardly ever and I pull trailers a lot too. I googled a gearing calculator said I should be at 2300rpm's with 33's and 4.56's. I need that low end grunt! How do you like your 4.56's?!

The common number thrown out for drivetrain loss through a 4l80e is 22%, then compound it with heavy tires/wheels and 14 bolt rear end, it's a surprising amount you lose. Since your truck is basically a 3/4 ton it has pretty much everything against it, such as more weight and previous mentioned heavy duty drive train which are all power suckers. Power is probably about right at the wheels, plus not all dyno's say the same thing... there is that variable.

TBSS intake and the throttle body should get you a little more, sucks you have to pay so much for the tune to adjust for that though.

Totally agree silentbravo. I see guys think their truck with Bolt-on's has 500hp. I don't want to hear it until you strap her on a dyno lol. Most ppl don't know what 300rwhp feels like. I'm going to regear and enjoy all the work I've done for while. Like I said earlier its a HUGE power increase over my stock 6.0. New motor pulls hard through the gears. I'm very happy with it.

300rwhp is about what a new stock 5.3 makes.

I have a 2009 5.3, diablo sport with custom tune from a guy on here and an airaid intake tube and im running 285/75r17s Eload. I honestly cant tell any difference going from the 4.11s to 4.56s other than a 2mpg loss. By far installing the truetrac made more of a difference this go around than the gears.

However going from the 3.42s to 4.11s was a big difference. I think all trucks should come with at least 3.73s but preferably 4.10s, I cant believe they make some with 3.08s
