Kivabird's 2014 Silverado High Country 6.2l Build

Postby Kivabird12 [OP] » May 12 2016, 4:32am

Time to start the thread now that I've bought my first part to add. First pictures will be of the truck how I purchased it.

First part purchased. C7 Manifold. I will try my best to do a before and after dyno on just this manifold for everyone that has been interested in it. I still need to get a few parts from the dealer in order to put it all together.

Just pulled the trigger on a set of pacesetter headers. I'm going to blast them and have the set ceramic coated. Anyone want to recommend a color?

What kind of results did you get with the C7 intake? I've heard of people getting decent gains with an LS3 intake/throttle body on the 5.3s. Been tossing around the idea of swapping one on mine.

I haven't put it on yet. Still waiting to go to the dealership to get a few additional parts. Trying to decide if I should put headsets/exhaust on first then do a before and after dyno on the intake or if I should do intake before and after then put on headers.

I'm coming from the import world so performance will always be first on my mind. The looks department will come later down the road.

Interested for sure, I like your approach to mods! What import(s) did you have?

Latest was my 04 maxima. It was full bolt on(headers, 4in intake, manifold/throttle body spacers, catback, larger throttle body, larger 440cc injectors, gutted manifold, and ported and polished lower manifold) and uprev tuned. I eeked out 257 whp. Was a 5 speed auto so wasn't terrible but I was ready for an upgrade in power.
