Old member with a new name and truck. Frank from Texas here with a 2011 Silverado extended cab 4.8L. This truck is still under construction and I will give y'all a rundown on what I have done so far and what is coming very soon and quick.

Ported intake manifold
Stock coils and injectors

*Interior*
New padding and black carpet
Deep cleaned interior

Seats deep cleaned (but still smell like beer and piss)
All seatbelts replaced (sending driver side front off for repair)
*Exterior*
2003 Silverado SS wheels sanded down, cleaned, primered, painted gloss black and clear coat (need new center caps)
New hood, new driver side fender, swapped out passenger front door, repaired passenger side fender and rear door, swapped out the bed and am in the process of finishing bodywork, new blacked out grill with blue bowtie emblem, new front bumper, new 1 piece tailgate spoiler, complete brake job all around.
New smoked LED headlights, new smoked LED taillights, new smoked 3rd brake light
Raptor liner spray in bedliner
4/2 lowering kit (not yet installed)
***Coming quickly and soon***
Sealer, Blue Ray Metallic paint with clear coat
Sunroof w/new headliner
New 2 piece driveshaft w/custom crossmember and yoke
Full custom tune
New front seats
Black/blue seat covers

New shocks
***In September***
Single turbo with new tune and exhaust
Upgrade the fuel system
Install lowering kit and have driveshaft corrected
Rear drum to disc conversion
Gear change

All this work expect for the driveshaft, sunroof and tune is being done by me. Unfortunately the previous owner was a drunk and did not take care of the truck. The interior smelled of beer and piss and the entire truck seemed like is had been used as a crash derby truck. Lol. Thankfully it ran when I got it and drive, but was severely battered. I am nearly done with the body and will be painting it very soon.

Short clip of the first start up on project "BlueStreak". Ended up with a small coolant line leak, bit other than that and some fresh fuel she is thumpin'. Now I need the driveshaft shop to get their stuff together and get my crossmember and 2 piece driveshaft made up. Been over 2 weeks so far.

I forgot to mention that I also replaced the entire core support and radiator. Installed a 160Ā° thermostat, all 3 cooling fan relays, the coolant temp sensor and put some freon in the a/c. Still only have my fans coming on when the a/c is on so not quite sure what the deal is. And yes, I made sure the fans come on by using a jumper 12v.

The truck looks great, and you've sure done a tremendous amount of work! Congrats on a well executed project!

Just curious as to why you didn't remove things like badging, tailgate handle trim, side mirrors, etc. Before painting?

Normally on my own stuff I don't remove all that, plus removing of the gaskets, seals, trim and badges can a lot of times lead to damages and more money spent. I am on somewhat of a budget so there are certain areas that you can skimp on. Taking off the emblems and mirrors is not really all that necessary because you won't ever see behind them anyways and the paint behind them is worthless because it is never seen. Lol. The SILVERADO badging and rear bowtie will be painted black while on the truck and once again, the paint behind them isn't of concern. This isn't a Lambo or a show truck, it is functional with a lot of style, class and power. It will be daily driven and when I feel the need to Gaptize someone I can. 650RWHP isn't anything to sneeze at on these trucks. I have a lot of goodies on the way including the full single turbo kit and Caltracs. I still have a few loose ends to finish up on the truck, but it is nearing 100% completion in it current form. Lol
