Re: Slvr Bulit 2009 Chevy Silverado Build, Mcgaughys lift. 3

Postby slvr bulit [OP] » Mar 18 2016, 4:01pm

Just a quick update. Truck is running great and I am enjoying the look of it with the Mcgaughys lift kit in it. Realized I needed a set of steps to get in and out of the truck now. So I ordered up a set of Amp power steps, hopefully they will be here soon so I can install them.

Re: Slvr Bulit 2009 Chevy Silverado Build,9"lift, amp steps

Postby slvr bulit [OP] » Mar 28 2016, 2:30pm

I had a chance to install Amp Research power steps this weekend. I have to say they are probably the coolest thing on the truck. Very well made and the install wasn't to bad. The best part is they actually drop down low enough to be able to get into my truck with ease.

You have to excuse the truck being dirty.

Where did you order the lift from? Been looking at getting the same one but not sure which vendor to go with.

I ordered the lift from Grunion fab shop in AZ. Not sure if they still have the 10% off coupon when you order on line or not. If you call Aaron will help you and answer all your questions.

I was changing the oil in my truck last night and couldn't help but to go over the lift kit again and the quality of the lift just blows me away. My axles are straight, hardly any angle at all.

Did you have to re-gear it for the 35's?

I say they stick out 2-3" My rims are a -24 offset so it isn't really crazy.

Did you have to re-gear it for the 35's?

No,I haven't regeared. Truck has plenty of power, even when I am towing my boat.
