Yeah those trucks can pull them off. Not sure I'd do one if I had a gmt800 but with the lack of exhaust under the bed it looks good.

It had some little demons hiding under the flares which I expected being an ohio truck. But really not too bad. Just some bubbles. Which obviously means the back side is pretty well on its way to gone, but I sprayed the heck out of it with some neutralizer and then topped it with acf50 to maybe help slow it down.

I'm not sure which truck pulls better. Mine feels like it has more oomph in the higher gears, but its hard to tell.

I did a little bit of highway driving this weekend. Went to the outdoor show. Didnt get to stay as long as I wanted unfortunately but the round trip was right at 170 miles, pretty much all highway. So not a huge trip by any means, but the furthest I've dome highway since the delete.

So I filled up before I left and again when I got back. I averaged 20 mpg doing 70-75mph basically the whole way out and back. Not too bad. I suspect once the weather warms up it will get better by a little bit.

Not bad considering the weight and whats hiding under the hood. Beats the 15 or so in the 1500

Yeah I was able to get a pretty solid 19mpg highway with my 2017, but it was at 55-60 mph. Any faster and it would drop pretty quick down to like 15-16mpg.

And considering this truck weighs over 8k lbs and has way more power than my 17 did, I'd say its doing pretty good haha.

Ordered some lights for the truck.

Ended up going with a 35 watt 5500k HID kit for the low beams and some 2 stroke led bulbs for the high beams.

Should be here by the weekend. Not sure if I'll be able to get them installed or not. I'm installing a lift on the guy who bought my old wheels truck. I figure that will end up taking up at least all of Saturday for sure, and likely some of Sunday.

Got my lights and all today. Hoping to have time Sunday to install them.

I am installing a lift on a buddies truck. I started today around 4ish and all the disassembly is done. Tomorrow morning starts the little bit of cutting then it's going back together. He is the one who bought my wheels off my 17. He ended up going the RC 5" bracket kit route. I am going to do a install review thread on the lift similar to what I did for my CST I put on my 16. Interested in hearing your review and thoughts on the RC bracket kit. How it compares to the CST kit.

So far my thoughts are the instructions they give you are useless. Pictures dont match what the descriptions say, sizes of holes domt match, and its black and white, super blurry. But the lot itself honestly doesnt look too bad. Metal is definitely thinner than the CST though, and definitely nowhere near as structurally strong.

Sounds like typical RC quality, not surprised.
