hello all, I have a 2012 silverado 1500 4x4 z71 extended cab. my a/c runs fine all the time (usually). about 2 weeks ago I hooked up my camper, plugged in my lights (factory plug on bumper) and pulled it to our destination, the whole way everything was good and my a/c was normal, ice cold. we camped and when we came home I hooked up and headed back but this time my a/c only was working on the passenger side not driver side, in fact the air coming from drivers side was like the heat on full blast, passenger side ice cold..when I got home and unhooked drivers side a/c began functionig normally...any ideas? it seems it would have to be something with the plugging in of the camper lights/electric brakes (all in same plug). any help would be great.

It sounds like the driver's side temperature blend door actuator is stuck in the heat position.

It does sound like an issue with the drivers side blend door actuator. It may just have been a coincidence with the towing timing...because there is nothing I can think of that would connect the two. The drivers side one is easy to access just above the center trans hump under dash.

Is that issue mostly on the Dual zone climate control model? Or is this issue on non dual zone climate models as well when the passenger and driver can both adjust their temperatures??
