I have a pneumatic fluid extractpr...can i use it to pull old.... 5 yr old 100000km... transmission fluid out the tube without dropping the pan..
If i can how much can i get that way and will the tube hit the filter or the bottom of the pan?
If possible i would like to do about 3 part replacements of fluid this way without touching the pan
.

Anyone done it?

You can usually suck 3-4 quarts out in my experience. Done this many times with the bike pump style fluid extractors. You need the big hose to the little hose extension to get all the way down the tube.

Thanks... ive got a variety of extraction tubes including a loooong one that fits inside the fill tube. It bottoms out against something down there..i wanna make sure its not pushing against the top of tne filtet though.

If you push the filter out I will be amazed. They don’t just slide out. You will be just fine.

We'll i got 4 quarts of old atf out.. looks like brownish red barely oil

No burnt odour though...

Worked like a charm..

I'll do it again in a month or so...that 212000 miles... 343440 km.... still runs well...no transmission issues at all
