Better throttle response? Diffuser Plate??

Postby 07Silverado361 [OP] » Sep 05 2013, 5:28am

Is there a Diffuser plate like the old 4.3s that would restrict the throttle response?

I edited my original reply because your truck has 4.3. lol You can check to see if it does. Older 4.3's had them because they had basically the same throttle bodies as the V8 and didn't need as much air and also helped with air fuel mixing. Just take off air intake arm and look at butterfly valve

In case you haven't noticed I've been posting a lot about my truck. I'm trying to get the best ride and power out of it. Do you know a cheap place for a good throttle body spacer? Would it be worth the $$?

TB spacers don't work IMO they claim to get performance but it's not noticeable. If anything the weight of the TB spacer will rob any performance it might give and they probably only weight 7 ounces XD

Unsure about the '07's. If the truck has an electronic throttle body, there is no diffuser on them anymore.

.....& don't bother with the throttle body spacer.

To be specific spacers don't work well on efi/mfi engines.... spacers on carb'd and tbi engines made a noticeable difference.

Your best off with the big three on a newer truck, tune, cold air, exhaust.
