Nope. Put it wherever is best for your needs. Just make sure there isnt any low spots in the lines.

Perfect spot for it. That's where a lot of us have them on the Vortec's, so we can dump them easily.

I'm hoping I didnt make mistake buying this one . I did take it apart and seal all the threads on the fittings and gasket sealer .I guess time will tell .

Just check it after some time. If it's got oil in it, you're good! And of course make sure it's not leaking or anything like that.
