How do I find out which model number of Baldwin I need for my pickup?

I just run Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic 0w-20 for my truck because it was also recommended for my wife's 2018 Grand Cherokee so I can purchase a large quantity and be good for awhile with both.

Now that I have my new truck, I'll be looking at the different 0w-20 options as well. Geez, that's a light oil.

The adult son runs Valvoline 5W-30 Synthetic with a Mobil 1 Filter in both his Jeep and T****a, and my adult daughter runs Walmart SuperTech 5W-30 Synthetic with a Fram Ultraguard filter in her T****a. My wife doesn't even know (nor does she care to know) how to check the oil in her Avalon, but I run Penzoil in hers as well (and check the oil for her).

It does seem a little thin doesnt it lol. And people wonder why engines wear out faster on newer trucks and cars in general. It doesnt seem the 0W-20 / 0w-30 has enough viscosity but maybe it does who knows. I thought on new trucks you can still run 5w-30? It seems to me it would have a better viscosity and would help protect the vehicle more but of course if you do not follow manufacturer commendations and your truck goes into the shop for warranty work they may not cover it do to it not having the "factory" style recommended oil.

They don’t wear out any faster.

Yes you can run a 5w oil. It’s what the Camaro and corvette run.

Not sure if it wears the components any faster. Thin oil, especially at low temps, can actually start to lubricate faster. So it may actually be better. My comment came from the fact that I was holding a jug of 0w-30 in my cold garage, and it felt like water sloshing in the bottle.
I remember the old days of running 20w-50 in the summer time!
