Hello, I have a few questions/concerns about getting a chip. I have done alot of research about it I have read that a chip does not add a ton of horsepower but It does alot of other things really well. Also read that to make a chip benifital you have to have a CAI? So my question is which one do I get first (can only get one right now because of cash flow

) I have a flowmaster cat back exhaust, I heard all 3 of the CAI, chip and exhaust can make a difference. Also are all GM pickups diagonstic ports the same?

Just want to double check to see if this chip will work?

I use the superchips Flashpaq, I would go with the CAI first. Only because when you use the programmer you set it for CAI. If u get the programmer first then you have to set it for none CAI then reset it when you get the intake. With CAI programmer and flowmasters I can tell a good difference. And yes I believe all GM ports are the same

To make any engine better you should make it breathe better, CAI and exhaust with a programmer make a potent combination. Read a round on this forum there are probably 15 or 20 threads on programmers with CAI and exhaust done. All diagnostic ports are the same since 1996 on all makes and models.
