352,xxx currently. Piston slaps like a Chinese D-Max at startup, then purrs like a kitten in a velvet suit.

170K on mine. Just change the oil and fix things as soon as they need it. I don't hot rod the truck, but I do tow with it and wheel it occasionally. No smoke, doesn't use oil, no ticking.

I'm planning to drive the thing to Argentina then from Capetown to Cairo with a camper on the back starting in October.

Interested to see how she holds up, but I feel good about it. Its been a really solid truck so far.

I currently have 331,000 on my truck. Regular maintenance still runs strong. No major repairs. I add in a bottle of lucas oil stabilizer every oil change. I am hoping to make it to 400,000 and beyond. lol

Heck I just rolled 107,000 on my 2000 2500! I hope I make it to 200k without major issues!

I have a 2000 GMC 2500 with the 6.0 in it. It has 257000 on it and still going strong. It does have the lifter noise but other than routine maintenance it is fine, always has been.

You guys do know what Lucas Oil Stabilizer actually is don't you? Something I have never understood.... what is so unstable about modern engine oils that they need Forrest Lucas to come along and stabilize them? That guy has made a killing selling a 250w base oil with no additives of any kind in there. Just an oil thickener. Yep, several folks have sent in samples of LOS and it is only a 250w base oil with no additives. If one wants thicker oil, then use a higher vis oil like a 40w or 50w which includes all the beneficial motor oil additives.

I now have 1,038,374 miles / 22,489 engine hours on my heavy truck engine I am using today and it has never had a drop of additional additives put in it. Just the same motor oil. And it is still all original and only uses about 1 qt of oil in 11-12,000 miles. I have taken a few auto and pickup truck engines to over 250,000 miles and never put anything but the motor oil in them and they still worked fine.

I have never seen an actual documented and proven time that LOS made any substantive positive difference in a motor that was already in good condition. I can see using it to keep a motor going that is on its last leg. But then it will just prolong the inevitable for a little while. A favorite among used car dealers and people selling junk vehicles to unsuspecting customers.
