Unfortunately the Oil Pump went after 14,400 miles. Waiting to get it back from the dealer.

I agree about the 12-14 city TJ it just doesn't seem possible for my sierra lol. I am getting about 8.4 Mpgs right now winter city driving but in the summer I could barely manage 10.5 mpgs! As far as highway though I can squeeze 15 mpgs out of my 6.0L going about 65 mphs.

id really like to know how people are getting the mileage they do. ive never got over 11 in the city during the summer, it usually hovers between 9.5 and 10.7. the most i ever got on the highway was 14 doing 70-75 from northern va to high point nc. never towed with my truck but i would imagine it would be around 7 mpg with a heavy load

Right on Chris. Average around 8.5 to 9.5 in town. Sure would like to know the secret to getting better mpg's.
Thats life, wouldnt trade my HD for nothing. Well maybe, once gas hits 6 , 8 bucks a gallon.

I am one of those 14-16 highway drivers. My 2012 EC 2500HD is my daily driver until I replace the heater core in my 86 Trooper. Most (90%) of my driving is highway (50-70 mph) on a daily 61 mile round trip. As soon as I hit the highway 5 blocks from my house, I hit the cruise and use the accel/decel buttons in small increments as needed. Most times, I can make it to work (around 8 at night) without catching any of the 4 stop lights on my 30.5 mile trip. I will admit that I rarely drive over 2-3 mph over the speed limit and baby it on take offs when I do have to stop. Tonight when I got to work, the AVG MPG was at 15.4, and I reset it a little over a week ago. Gotta love a 530 mile fuel range, thanks to that 36 gallon fuel tank.

I miss driving my Trooper though, that thing has a whopping 100 hp and you can rev the snot outta it and really not worry about getting a ticket while knocking down low 20 mpg's. Just don't like shivering while driving!

I just recently made a 682 round trip up to my grandparents in Creighton, SK which is pretty far up north for most of you folks lol. For the first 80 miles and last 80 miles on the way back I was going about 70 mphs, there was a gravel road stretch for about 25(50 Miles Total) miles where I was going 50-56 mph, then the rest I was going 62 mphs. I got 15.5 Mpg going there and got 14.5 MPGs coming back. The majority of this trip had lots of hills that my truck had to climb and I kept it in cruise the whole time so I am sure if I would have rode the pedal I could have gotten better.
