Best plugs?

Postby JTH1972 [OP] » Nov 01 2019, 9:44pm

Hey all, first time poster and new Chevy owner here! I recently bought a 2003 Silverado 1500HD LT. I'm going through it checking everything over and going to do a tune-up. What's the best recommended spark plugs for this vehicle?

Thanks!

Welcome.

Your best bet is acdelco for both plugs and wires.

The have the best track record of not acting up. And there really isn't any advantages of going with anything different on a stock motor.

If there is an AC-Delco Iridium version for your truck, get those.

Is there much difference between these and the platinum ones? I can only find the platinum ones on Amazon.

Either will work. Iridium will last longer.

41-110 should be the plug you'll need. But double check just to be sure. That's the iridium plug.

Get the Iridium. Those are what GM puts in at the factory. Don't try to save a couple bucks on plugs. I just replaced my original set at 110K miles and they were still looking like they could do another 110K.

Don’t forget to change all fluids, your front and rear Diffs, transfer case, and transmission fluid.

Thanks. Amazon.com has a lot of different options than Amazon.ca. I did find a listing where it was one plug for $17, or a special on a four pack for $40. Go figure.
