shout out to the admins

Postby khoysagk [OP] » Mar 07 2021, 7:46am

So I'm new here and really wonder what I can do here. It says first post has to be approved by admins, but so far every time I try to post it has to be approved. Not only that but more often than not my posts are not approved, can't post in the classifieds (just trying to reply, not selling), can't send pm's. So what CAN I do?

It depends upon in what threads you are posting. Some threads do not count toward your post count (Tailgate Talk for example). Once you have an actual post count of 1 or more, you should be good to go.

It appears my post count is still at zero even though I have posted a few times now. So where do I need to post for it to count? No offense but this is getting frustrating.

There is 2. You'll be up to 3 before you know it.

Yup, for some reason there has always been a delay in updating the counts. Usually just a few minutes, but not instant. Been that way for 10 years....not that I am counting!.
The sure way is to post something in the introduction area. We love greeting new members.

Welcome to the site!

Yep if you want to up your post count just go and welcome everyone that joins. Some people get real serious about their post counts, I guess it makes them feel important or something.

I never gave it much thought. I guess being here for about 11 years, and just making comments (like this) have gotten me there. I go for a while being really active, and then it kinda drops off. Lately the topics have been pretty interesting!!

They ended up making it were comments made in the introduction section doesn't count towards post count because it got so bad with people using it to up their numbers. When they made the change there were a few members that got upset about it and would not admit that the post count was their true intention. Coincidentally, welcoming new members didn't seem as important to them once it stopped upping their post count.
