I see that now. Is a tech2 really that hard to get? A quick search brings many for around $300, which isn't that big of a deal! Is this a welfare site, I mean really that isn't a lot of money.

That's the older tech2 that goes for 300. For anything newer than 03 I think needs the tech2 with candi. Which reads all the modules on the canbus system. It goes for 4k.

I seen those. They're wireless as well. The dealer I bought my truck from showed me how it worked.

It does sound like a pretty good deal on it. I know that is subjective though.........

Does that 300 dollar tech2 come with a updated card, or any card at all? I think we did our last update on our cards in 13 or 14, GM doesn't support updates on them anymore and they don't work on the newer vehicles.

Miguel, if the code's still there erase it and see how long it takes to come back. My own research shows no code by that number. Off the wall codes often show up with a weak battery. I can bring my code reader and battery tester to breakfast Saturday.

If you can't clear the codes with a battery, just disconnect the battery for a minute.

See you at Denny's
