33x12.50's

Can I run these on stock suspension?

33x12.50's

Postby rugerr1 [OP] » Nov 17 2019, 10:31pm

I'm going to up grade my wheels and tires in a few months, and want to know if I can run 33x12.50 with my Factory suspension? The wheels I'm going to get are 18x9 Fuel- Vapor(-12 offset) and I want to put the Nitto ridge grapplers 33x12.50 on them. My truck is 2018 RWD Silverado 1500 I have a 2inch level kit on the front everything else is original. There are a few trucks with the exact same wheel and tire size and level kit size on customwheelofffset.com the ONLY difference is they are 4WD.

You will rub pretty hard with that wheel and tire combo.

My father has 305/55r20, which is very similar to a 33x12.5. He had them on stock wheels and it rubbed the sway bar bad.

I set him up with some 20x9 +18 offset wheels and it got off the sway bar but now will rub the fender.

A -12 offset would really rub the fender, and maybe even bumper pretty bad.

What if I went with a 285/65 R18 with the same rim set up, do you think I would be ok?

That you'd probably be fine with. I had that size on a 18x9 with a 0 offset and even with the factory mud flaps it cleared. Was close when you flexed the suspension.

So with another 12mm outwards, i don't see it being an issue.

Thanks for the help! I have been looking at these things all day and finally found a set up I like, but didn't want to have to upgrade the suspension too!
