Yeah, and it still answers the same general question.

"Ha ha" not necessary.

Re: Will this Fit? Tire Sizing and Wheel Spacing Explained

Postby Djscorpio2200 » Jun 10 2017, 1:31pm

I am not concerned with my front tires in this case and I am not lifted. I have a djm 4-6 lowered kit and have a pretty clear gap between the wheel and fender. I want to place drag radials and need to go as wide as possible in the rear without touching the inside fender or outside fender. I want to know first rim size with what offset and tire width without having to hub the fender.I know there must be a positive offset to the rim and a with that will help me grip a little more payvment. also I was told the minimum size rim I can go with due to breaks will be 18" not sure if this is true. any help greatly appreciated.

Onlyina - My math isn't great, nor do I have the patience to calculate. can you give me a quick yes or no?

I have a 2010 Silverado 2500 HD crew cab.

current tire size- 265/70 R17 (STOCK)

tires I want - 305/55 R20s

torsion keys have been cracked 1 inch for leveling.

Yes, no, maybe?

So, what I am getting form all of this is:
While 305/60/R18 will fit my factory 2014 18" rims, I will run into issues while turning and suspension articulation. Correct?

Assuming your factory tires are 265/65R18, putting 305/60R18 on will increase the diameter 2.5% to 32.4", and increase the width by 15.4% to 12", from 10.4".
The tire is growing wider on each side by 1.6", which is roughly 3/4" on each side of the tire.

I believe the rubbing will really depend on what wheel you are running; Factory or aftermarket?

I am aware of a 2014 that had or still does have 305/60/18 ST MAXX tires on factory wheels with no lift and no level. They fit with no issue.
