I added some LED bulbs to the cargo light, and boy are they bright, but I want to make sure I don't have any leaks from the third light before I get caught in the rain. The visors, pillars, grab handle, overhead console, and dome light were easy, but cant figure out the trick to the coat hangers. Ive searched the forum, and ive even searched youtube (which has a video for Tahoe, Yukon, suburban), but appears to be a different style. I THINK these are on the 99-02 Silverado & Sierra only. Am I really supposed to yank the shit out of em? Or do they split at the seam and pull out like the grab handle?

THAT DID IT, AWESOME. THANK YOU!

For everyone else who reads this.. I looked at it, I swear it looks like they have a little glue to keep them together. The video, and that guide says to use some kind of small tool to pry it, which left a small indention in the plastic where I did that. I tried it a few times after it was out on the first one.

HOW-TO remove the hook.
Just reach up underneath it with your finger tips, between the hook and the headliner on the bottom of the hook, as if you are pulling the bottom of it forward through the glass. This should open it up.
Then pull the hook down to pull it completely out of the headliner.

I got the second one with no tools in about 5 seconds.

Boy that's going to get annoying if you want to pull your headliner every time you change a 3rd brake bulb

Ive never changed it before, and it clearly popped the seal, that sounds like its never been changed. I just did the headliner without knowing how or what to do in about 20 minutes (other than the coat hook). Could probably do it in less than 5 minutes now.
