I have a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 4wd z71 ext cab with the 5.3 and I'm having some transmission issues.
The tranny currently has 92,xxx on it and I have noticed it shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear. Sometimes wen decelerating it shifts hard going from 2nd to 1st. This hard shift in and out of the two gears doesn't happen every time, only occasionally. I have read that it could be the solenoid in the tranny that needs to be replaced. Also, the rest of the gears shift as should. Looking to get some advice on what it could be before I have it checked out by a tranny shop.
