Looking for recommendations on what brands to buy for an oil pump and timing chain/tensioners for my 05 5.3L LM7 Silverado.

I want to buy good reliable parts. I know Melling makes a high volume oil pump for the 5.3L and I will be considering that heavily if I need to replace my oil pump. Any other suggestions for oil pumps? Is the high volume oil pump too much? Will it cause damage to something else inside the engine since the motor is stock internals?

As far as timing chain/tensioners, I have no idea on what brand to go with. Is there a kit that someone makes that has all the parts needed for a timing chain replacement? I figure if I'm going to replace the oil pump, might as well change the timing chain. Or do you think that's over kill? The engine is approaching 150k miles.

The chain isn't broken. Unsure of the guides/tensioners until the cover is removed. Jus figured that I would replace them if I need to replace the oil pump since the cover and everything else is already off.

I watched a video on replacing the oil pump and chain. Looks likes it's not too involved? Line up the mark on the large sprocket and the other mark on the cam? Then remove the large sprocket and chain/tensioners/guides.

Is there a write up somewhere that gives specific directions on how to replace the timing chain? I ordered a Chilton a manual but would like something more specific if available.

Im looking at the M295HV Oil pump. Says it's recommended for higher mileage vehicles and process 18 percent additional volume.

Is there some sort of timing chain guide/dampener/tensioner on my 05 LM7 5.3? I am having trouble finding an AC Delco part number for any guide/tensioner/dampener.

I see a tensioner that has a pin in it, and after it is installed, you pull the pin, but I think that is for newer engines?
